Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using the PageScribe Chrome Extension ("Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Extension.
Description of Service
The Extension lets you save publicly accessible, free-to-read Scribd documents as PDF files, processed locally in your browser. The service includes:
- One-click saving of eligible public Scribd documents as PDF
- Support for documents, presentations, and books that are visible without a Scribd subscription
- Local processing — no files are uploaded to any server
- PRO features including unlimited saves, priority support, and activation on up to 3 devices (requires a license)
License and Usage
Free Version
The free version of the Extension is provided for personal, non-commercial use. The free plan includes up to 3 saves per day. You may use all free features without any payment.
PRO Version
PRO features require a valid license key obtained through our payment provider, Creem. The PRO license is:
- A monthly subscription at $4.99/month (cancel anytime)
- Valid for up to 3 device activations simultaneously
- Non-transferable and for personal use only
Content and Fair Use
The Extension only works with publicly accessible content on Scribd. It does not:
- Bypass paywalls or unlock subscriber-only content
- Circumvent DRM or copy-protection measures
- Access private or restricted documents
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of saved documents complies with applicable copyright laws and Scribd's terms of service.
Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Extension for any illegal purpose
- Share, resell, or distribute your license key
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension
- Use saved content for commercial purposes without appropriate rights
- Attempt to manipulate license validation or local storage data
Privacy and Data
The Extension processes all documents locally in your browser. No files are uploaded to any server. No tracking or data collection occurs. The only network call the Extension makes is for license key validation (PRO users only). For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The Extension and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PageScribe and are protected by international copyright laws. All Scribd content remains the property of their respective owners and publishers.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:
- The Extension will be uninterrupted or error-free
- PDF output will be pixel-perfect in all cases
- The Extension will work with all Scribd pages or document types
- Scribd will not change their platform in ways that affect the Extension
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL PAGESCRIBE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the PRO subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Refund Policy
PRO subscriptions can be cancelled anytime. You keep access until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled through Creem according to their refund policy. Generally, refunds may be requested within 14 days of purchase if the Extension does not work as described and we are unable to resolve the issue.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the Extension or via email. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
